WoW Shaman Guide

Hey, MikemanX here,

Are you searching for a WoW Shaman Guide that can help you out with leveling a Shaman?  If you want to learn how to create a Shaman that will be able to plow through enemies and get you from level 1-80 with very little trouble, stick around…Because I’m going to go into an Elemental WoW Shaman Guide that will get the job done.

Now keep in mind that as good as this is, it’s not going to be as good as a COMPLETE WoW Shaman Guide.  I myself have been able to make use of one such complete guide to power level my Shaman, and I’d recommend it to anyone else who just can’t stand leveling or wants to fast track it to level 80.

So if you’re looking to level quickly as a Shaman, you’re going to want to go with an elemental build such as this:

Elemental Talents

Convection 3/5
Concussion 5/5
Call of Flame 3/3
Elemental Focus 1/1
Elemental Fury 5/5
Improved Fire Nova Totem 2/2
Eye of the Storm 3/3
Elemental Reach 2/2
Call of Thunder 1/1
Unrelenting Storm 3/3
Elemental Precision 3/3
Lightning Mastery 5/5
Elemental Mastery 1/1
Storm, Earth and Fire 3/3
Booming Echoes 2/2
Elemental Oath 2/2
Lightning Overload 3/3
Totem of Wrath 1/1
Lava Flows 3/3
Shamanism 5/5
Thunderstorm 1/1

Enhancement Talents

Ancestral Knowledge 5/5
Thundering Strikes 5/5
Elemental Weapons 3/3
Shamanistic Focus 1/1

As far as what kind of spell rotation you’re going to be using while spec’d this way, there are going to be 2 basic sequences depending on your level:

Levels 1-40

From levels 1-40 the basic sequence is as follows:

Earth/Flame/Wind/Frost Shock(pick one) > Lightning Bolt > Melee the enemy during spell downtime > Healing Wave if necessary > Repeat until enemy is dead

Levels 41-80

At Level 41 you’re going to want to switch things up in order to remain effective in combat, work your way into the following rotation:

Searing Totem > Lightning > Lightning > Earth/Flame/Wind/Frost Shock(pick one) > Melee the enemy during spell downtime > Lesser Healing Wave if needed > Repeat from lightning until enemy is dead

Now I did a lot of research before coming to this talent spec and attack rotation and despite knowing this was as good as it gets, for some reason things weren’t working out…

I Was Leveling Sooo Damn SLOW!

It was ridiculous!  I had the build, I had the rotation, why was leveling still such a pain?  I was getting bored with the leveling at only level 15, so I went and asked for help within my guild.

I spoke to one of my fellow guildies who has power leveled many characters and asked him how he did it with his Shaman.  He told me that he made use of the Team iDemise Leveling Guide and said it’s pretty much the best WoW Shaman Guide I could go with at the time..

What Is The Team iDemise  Leveling Guide?

I had thought this WoW Shaman Guide would be just be a PDF, but this guide turned out to be an in-game add-on that runs within World of Warcraft.  What happens is while it’s running, you have a giant green arrow placed in front of you which leads you to the next quest you have to complete, or monsters you need to kill and when and where you need to turn things in to level at the optimum rate.  You just have to keep following the arrow.

You also see a dialogue box which gives you more info about what tasks you need to complete and in what sequence, so you may see:

Kill 10 Spore Harvesters in the Borean Tundra for “Vermin Extermination” at (24,32)
Obtain 8 Tempest Motes from Enraged Tempests for “Motes of the Enraged” at (24,64)
Turn in the “Vermin Extermination” Quest to Scout Tungok

Now despite this WoW Shaman Guide working well for me, it wasn’t 100% perfect, here were the issues I had with it:

CONS:

  • At one time they gave you an HTML version of the in-game guide which was quite useful, however it has now been taken down.
  • They need to have more videos showing how to complete the hardest quests in the game, they also need to give more detailed info regarding leveling as the various classes.

PROS:

  • In version 2 of the Map Mod, all the steps to level up your character are laid out on the mini-map visually, they’re also laid out in written form via the dialogue box.
  • In addition to the map and dialogue box, you see a large green arrow in front of you which points you in the direction of the next quest objective.
  • The guide is not a cheat or a hack so you’re not going to get banned for using it.
  • You can use this guide on your Shaman or any other class you may have or want to have.
  • You get lifetime updates to the guide and access to a member’s only forum where you can discuss things with other members.
  • You get a 60 day money back guarantee.

Final Thoughts:

If you are having trouble with leveling a shaman or you just want to save yourself time and frustration, this is a guide you should definitely check out.
I’ve been using this on not only my Shaman but I’ve also used it for 7 other characters.  Each time I was able to reach level 80 in 7-9 days of in-game play time.
